My girlfriend updated minecraft on my computer to 1.8 because she likes bunnies.  Is there a way to un-update so I can log on?

Yes..do this

- quit the game
- open the game
- go to edit profile
- go to use version
- select a game version
- save
-play

*i recommend game version 1.74 *

She is correct but according to rich it has now been updated to 1.8.

from what  i heard you can connect to the server with 1.8 but it loads in 1.7.10

Yup I tried to make slime blocks and other kinds of doors but it didn't work

This is because, as we've said before, we've not enabled 1.8. You can download and join in 1.8, but you'll have no features of that patch. Our plugins haven't updated, so we will not make it active until they do.
