So, some of you might not know, but I am looking forward to applying for Mod in a few months. I was wondering if any of the current staff had any tips or advice for anyone looking to apply for a higher rank.
What are some traits, qualities, or characteristics an admin or mod should have? Staff and players, feel free to answer with your opinions.
Thanks for reading!

Being genuine and not feel/be forced to do something just to get staff is one of the best characteristics we look.
-
If anyone get a list of qualities it'll make people start faking their personnalities to get a certain rank, wich I think doesn't work in everyone's favor.
-
That's true. I was more or less looking for what is looked for in a player to determine if they could be a good staff member. Just things I can do to improve my overall character in the server.

Always telling the truth, not sucking up for personal gain, being kind, it's common sense kinda stuff. Any decent person has all the qualities already.

Active, helpful, (by helpful I dont mean helping someone build a town, I mean going the extra mile to see new players succeed without any personal gain) trustworthy, responsible. Its pretty basic stuff but the veil of anonymity that is the internet seems to strip people of these basic abilities.
We spend hours combing through logs and find people perjuring themselves left and right. Which is problematic.

Does roaming around the server and killing innecent people count??!

I think a quality should be to be fluffy and a genius and realllly tall! xD
