We should have the mod to earn money by killing mobs, since the money on this server i hard earned (at least for me) and it could encourage more people to kill mobs rather than creeping in tunnels.

Which mod are you talking about? Please give us a link to it so we can investigate it a little further.

..I disagree with this..people who use grinders/dark room spawners would get a ton of money quickly...money isnt hard to get atm..all you gotta do is go mining..or ./vote ..get 400-500 a day...mya...and people already make money off of mob drops as is..so getting money off their deaths..and then their drops kinda seems...eh...to me...

The point of a town server is to make money from selling items to people or the shop and Doing services for people for money..
This would make it far to easy to get money..
As it is, just mining, Lomari has built up a fortune in over 2mil currency, spawners, and diamonds.
We haven't even been here a full year.
We had over 100k in our first month from just casual mining and doing payed services for others.
If you are having trouble getting money, go out and dig around a bit.. Even selling stone can get you some extra cash for basic stuff.

I agree with Kouenkami. If this plugin comes in, the economy might get unbalanced. As Kouenkami said just go mining..or ./vote ..get 400-500 a day that isn't hat hard.

I've seen plugins that do this before, many of them buggy or do this in clunky ways (nuggets named moneydropmoney falling on the ground and such). the function of providing income from killing mobs can be dealt with using existing plugins if desired by simply adding buy signs to the shop for rotten flesh/gunpowder/etc. while I'm not completely against having the server buy mob drops as a means to encourage active hunting, adding another plugin to give money for kills seems unnecessary to me when essentials fills this need with a few signs and not even a reboot. additionally, the sign method would not allow for simple lazy standing at a spawner and getting rich killing stuff 24/7 as the loot would then have to be collected and transported to /shop or wherever and sold in whatever quantity is decided upon ($0.25 for 16 flesh for example).
anyway tl;dr I say do it another way.

i can see this plugin being very usefull on an adventure server, where there would be less mobs. but with towny and many mob grinders it would be to easy. i mean if i go to statistics iv killed around 40,000 pigman.... just pigman not even counting other mobs and thats the advantage this plugin would give. getting money can be hard in maybe your 1st few days but once you get a system and vote, its pretty easy.

Honestly, making money was difficult until I voted for the first time. Just mine a ton of iron and sell it. Three stacks is like... 2.8k.

Maybe they should consider adding more things to the shop for selling?something more common (doesn't matter how cheap) it is, just a suggestion.

sacstan, the shop is simple and has few items so members of the server have flexibility of creating their own shops.
