I understand we may not need this yet, but also with an update to 1.8 coming up this could be useful
I recommend that we create a separate world that would just be for collecting resources, Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold, etc
This world would not be for building houses since every couple of weeks the world could be re-genned with world edit to bring the resources back.
When 1.8 comes out that means that this could be a steady source of granite, etc.

I'm against this idea.
Too lazy to state the reasons, but to me, it just seems wrong in every way.

Bringing resources back to the main world? That would be an unlimited flow of income and the economy will... Who knows?

I'm against this idea too, even though it sounds very good :(


The economy would be wrecked, rich players would become richer, and New members would find it hard, if not nearly impossible, to buy things from /shop, and overall, the buying power of $1 would become more poor and worthless....


In other words, a huge inflation might strike. D:

there is plenty of space not discovered with plenty of resources, Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold, etc
Use dynmap to see undiscovered places

Hv, You do know dynmap doesn't work right? And yeah I didn't put much thought about the economy in this, I was mainly looking forward to the 1.8 blocks it could bring since most of our world has been discovered

I know it will work in the next update, but illum even when I zoom in completely it may uncover 1 chunk but thats it, I wouldn't consider it working

Dynmap doesn't work for me.
It will load a chunk or two every five to six years....

Anyway, about the new world, it should just be its own thing.  Just a different world without PvP rules, grief rules, etc., but it is replaced with a new seed every week or so.  However, I don't really agree with the "bringing back resources" thing.  But still the different world just to mess around in would be a pretty fun way to waste time.
