Title: Red Tint to Worlds.
Post by: RogueFriday on June 26, 2015, 08:39:19 AM
I'll put this here but I think its a Minecraft Big not a server bug persay.

Is anyone else getting the results as listed in this link? Mainly the red tint to the worlds until you quit and restart Minecraft completely.
If so, has anyone found a different fix?

https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-73731

"Also, all the effects listed above still happen when the nameless head is on a Zombie, but the affected entities are rotated and offset based on the Zombie's movement as well as the player's. When the Zombie dies, the affected entities all rotate with it as it falls down, then return to normal when it disappears. Hitting the Zombie causes all worlds to be tinted red until exiting the game and rebooting it, and also makes the background of the main menu low-resolution."

Cheers all
Rogue

Is it red and blue layer you see ? That would be that 3d rendering is on. Or if this isn't the cause would you be able to upload a pic please

Nah, def no the 3D colour shift. im slightly colour blind and changed my NVidia settings to a different colours.
I even got the weird colours remaining after dropping from the server and connecting to a local world.

The effects im getting are the same as the mojang bug report.
If it happens again next time im on i'll try a few things and get back to you all, but appears that this is a known bug since around 1.8.3..

Try reinstalling your launcher but make sure you delete all minecraft folders but save the saves one. Type in %appdata% --> roaming --> minecraft

Hi, well I think I got it sorted.
Wasn't drivers as I keep those updated from NVidia, as well as the GeForce experience extensions.
I moved back to 1.8.4 and all stable, added optifine and still everything is stable.
Tried reloading 1.8.7 from fresh (purged the old profiles and associated files) and the problem returns. Optifine makes no difference.

So touchwood 1.8.4 w/optifine is stable.

Lets hope Mojang/Microsoft get this bug fixed soon.
