Here's what you need to do:
1. Build some awesome pixel art in SentinelCraft's survival world.
2. Take up to 5 screenshots of it, at least one with the default texture pack.
3. Send them off to exploreiridia@gmail.com, or post them here on the forum.
Then tell everyone you know, in Minecraft and in real life, to vote for your artwork online starting October 18. The art with the most votes by the end of the month wins the contest and the grand prize!

Tips:
- The prize increases by $5000 for each artwork entered, so encourage other player's to enter the contest. Spread the word and the prize goes up!
- Voting opens October 18. While I will be accepting submissions up until the end of the month, it would be best for you to have the artwork ready before voting opens to maximize the amount of time your art is in the running.
- Voters are not restricted to SentinelCraft players, so share with your friends and family as well! There are buttons below each pixel art to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus. The shared link will take readers directly to that specific piece, not just to the contest page.
- Art listed in blue on the site are entered as Exhibition, and cannot be voted for. This includes the rulebook, a book on SentinelCraft, and my own personal submission.
- If you have any questions or comments, post to this thread and I'll try to answer them all!
- If you want to see the prize, head to /t spawn iridia and turn around! The entire possible prize, all $100,000, is stored in a sign on the giant sword and brush art!

Official Rules

Art Attack! is a pixel art competition with a grand prize of up to $125,000 in-game money on the SentinelCraft Minecraft server. Entries will be accepted during the entire month of October. All SentinelCraft players are eligible to enter an artwork into the contest regardless of rank, including staff and the owner. The host of the showdown, gfrung4, any staff members of the town Iridia, and the previous showdown winner, CatchingCrowns, may enter only as exhibition and may not win the grand prize.
All submissions must be built in the SentinelCraft survival world. Entries built in single player, other servers, or any other world on Sentinel will not be accepted.
All entrants must send up to 5 screenshots of their artwork to gfrung4. The screenshots may be e-mailed to exploreiridia@gmail.com. If you are unable to e-mail the screenshots, you may post them on the forum, message me with them (in-game or on the forum), or discuss other options with me in-game. The first screenshot of the artwork must be taken in the default texture pack without visual modifications.
Entries do not need to be original, but must be original to SentinelCraft. Entries must not be copies of pixel art built on Sentinel by another player. Using material from the internet, television, movies, and video games is permitted.
The prize will be equal to $5000 for each submission received plus an additional $100 for each vote cast, up to a $100,000 maximum. Any other players who wish to raise the stakes can add to the winnings by donating their own in-game money. If you'd like to donate, speak with gfrung4 in-game.
The winner will be decided by popular vote. Voting will be conducted online at iridia.org. One vote per internet connection. Anyone can vote, even people who don't play on the server, or don't play Minecraft at all!
Voting opens at 12:00 midnight on October 18, and closes at 12:00 midnight on November 1. The time zone of the contest is US Eastern Time. The winner will be announced after voting closes at the end of the month.
The rules listed here may change at any time without warning, and gfrung4 is the final judge of the contest.

I made a megaman on the previous server I played for Fedgar as a gift... now I don't have time to start a new one D:. Goodluck to everyone, regardless :).
Also, I think limiting entrants to only be built this month will reduce the participants because most of the community has school/college exams starting in October.

Oh! I had no idea! My college operates on a trimester system, which is different than most. I don't have exams this month at all!
Thanks for telling me about this; I'll keep it in mind and see what happens. In one week if there aren't that many submissions I'll remove that condition.

All submissions must be built in the SentinelCraft survival world. Entries built in single player, other servers, or any other world on Sentinel will not be accepted. All builds must be constructed out of legitimately obtained materials. Those capable of spawning materials through creative mode or building plugins should not use these powers in their submissions. Submissions may be made of any block type.

Big News!
An anonymous donor has added $25,000 to the prize fund!
What this means:
1. The prize is now $25,000.
2. The maximum prize is now $125,000, as my contribution alone will always have a maximum of $100,000.
The rules have also been changed:
ANY builds made at ANY time with ANY materials may be entered. The builds do NOT have to have been made during this month, and the use of ekit IS allowed. If you have something to submit, you can do so today!

Like Story Showdown, there is only one submission allowed per person. If you submit one entry, you can always submit a second later to replace your first submission, but only one may be entered at a time.

Well you don't have to stop! I actually was hoping a lot of people would make new ones, because then they'd hopefully be standing long after the contest is over and add to the server by being awesome.
I hoped that this would add like 10-15 or more new pixel arts to the server. I only decided to allow previously built submissions so that people who just don't have the time this month can still enter.

Some minor changes!
1. Originality is no longer required! As long as you build it in the Sentinel survival world, you may enter it into the contest, even if it's something you copied from the internet. All entrants are still encouraged to make something original. Copying from other SentinelCraft players is not allowed.
2. The rules have been changed to reflect that town staff of Iridia may enter only as exhibition, and may not win the prize. This will remain for all future contests. The town will be opening soon!
3. Rulebooks are no longer available at /t spawn iridia, since I'm tired of changing it in-game every time I make a small change to the rules, and no one actually comes to take them there. The rules will remain up to date in this thread and on the iridia.org (http://iridia.org/) site.
The prize is currently $50,000, and there's still a week before voting begins. Submit your pixel art today!
