Title: Grief-Notice
Post by: Yeoldedogg on January 24, 2014, 08:14:17 PM
Just happened to see this one listed, not sure if it had been noted yet.

Announces if blocks have been broken and if those blocks belonged to them or "unowned" blocks.  Has some simple controls for use.

Find below the address for it:

That would give a lot of false reports since some players play in groups.

problem with this is not every one griefs soon as there on lot of the people getting jailed or banned are old established members

this plugin does not help unless we get spamed with every block break all the time and we might aswe;ll be watching all people 24/7

I just happened to come by it.  Figured hey, if it helps them out...it helps.  If they shoot it down...ah...no loss.

all block breaking is not greifing, for example u come to my house, u place a block, I break it; REPORT SENT FOR GRIEFING now that isnt how things are meant to be is it? it could be set as a owner sets a grief radius and if people break within it grief notice sent, but there is a plugin called towny, that won't even let u break blocks so either is fine.

I thought of something interesting last night... I think Rich has the ability of creating this.

Maybe we could create a command named /grief accessible to everyone. Players type /grief near the griefed area and it will send all staff a message with their coordinates (where the grief is) and the date they typed the command. The command will also send those players a message saying "Thanks for the information. Your issue will be handled as soon as possible".

Then staff member, after fixing or seeing the grief, would have /griefseen <player that did /grief> [additional information] that sends a mail to all staff saying "<player>'s grief was handled by <staff player> (Additional information)"

I'm not sure if this would be only for admins or include mods too. Please tell your opinion on it :)

Nice idea migas, it would be nice to have something like that, so that people would not yell, 'admin, admin!' when there is a grief, and its easy for us mods to see if there is a grief as well.
