Whilst NEI is primarily an item spawn mod, this feature does not work on multiplayer. The main part of the mod I am interested in is the recipe lookup part of the mod, which is based on an old mod named RecipeBook. I think this mod should be allowed because it makes it much easier than learning crafting recipes of 1.8 off by heart.

Yes, I know people will be skeptical about this mod, but frankly the majority of the features do not work on Multiplayer anyway, unless the mod is installed on the server itself.

EDIT: This mod would require the installation of a coremod, CodeChickenCore, information on which is included in the link posted above.

you can do /recipe it is not the interface like the nei mod but you can always look up stuff that way
