Title: Stone generator bug?
Post by: The_Nob on August 28, 2016, 03:42:45 PM
So in Skyblock i made a stone (not cobblestone) generator and when I began to mine the stone, I received the benefits of my mining mcmmo skill and gained mcmmo exp for mining the said stone. I dont have any screenshots as I still dont know where to locate the files on Windows 10  :-[

If you are using Windows XP or higher, you can find the directory in which the screenshots are saved under by opening the "run" application and entering "%appdata%". Then select the folder ".minecraft" and then the folder titled "screenshots". If this is a bit complicated, then you can just copy and paste, %appdata%\.minecraft\screenshots. If you access the screenshots a lot, then you might want to create a short-cut.

or open minecraft go to options>resource packs...>open resource pack folder.

I don't think it's a bug that you get MCMMO from it.

While this is not my speaking department, I can second this. Skyblock doesn't prevent McMMO experience gains in any way (as far as I am aware), only the creative world does.
Also, blocks that are related to the Mining Skill (stone in this case) have to be naturally generated to give experience. Since lava and water mixing counts as natural generation when it comes to obsidian, I induct it is the same with stone under the same circumstances.

Sonic is right. You received XP because the stone is generated "naturally". This is no bug, it's allowed to use this to train mining although it's not a very fast way to train.
