you restart the server nearly everyday, around 11am - 3pm gmt+5.5 everyday or the other? it takes 2hrs more for the server to come back online? I don't think so...

Why isn't it a automatic restart?

There IS an automatic restart.. but it's not really a restart. Technically it only reloads plugins, the server itself is up.

Talking in GMT time, the server restarts at 1am, 7am, 1pm, and 7pm, so they are spaced 6hrs apart.

During each of the restarts, the server itself restarts, saves the world, and reloads the plugins. If you read the message right before it restarts, you would know that -.- .

What I think it should do is restart like every day once a day and reset the Wilderness.

I think that is not a good idea to reset wilderness.

Why wouldn't it be? If you make something in the wilderness and it gets reset, its your fault.

Because. No matter where you build. Your creations are protected. Thats how it works here. We dont require people to be in a town just to be protected.

Resetting the wilderness is not an option.

The down time is the Host fault. We do our best to provide 24 hour coverage but some of us have to sleep and work.

When the server is down do what you can to make contact with one of the Senior Admins. We will restart the server.

And in a lot of cases, some people build parts of the town and don't claim in just yet because they don't have enough members/don't have enough money. If that was the case, a lot of important materials to not only server players but to towns would be lost... therefore not a good idea.

An those of us who have decided that we don't want to join a town? This is a thought that was not very thought out. I stay out in the wilderness because the thought if being limited to a plot makes my skin crawl

Wilderness it better suited for larger builds. Not everyone can afford a town to hold these builds. Some new players stay out in the wilderness for a while until they can afford a town. Also, it's not as though the wilderness is overflowing with builds, there's plenty of space to explore and build yet. If the wilderness kept getting reset everyday, I could just memorize the coordinates of valuable items (temples, diamond ore, villages, etc) and just keep going back to them.

That was kind of the point.

That was not kind of the point, that's called getting free resources... everyone builds where they want, whether in a town, or in the wilderness, its their choice...

I meant that was my point. On my last server, it reset everyday and it was kind of a suggestion actually and yes I would rather play in creative but survival is fine by me also.

If you want to play on creative, you have flatgrass world.

Main world is survival, It will stay survival and wilderness is not going to be reset because that is a very bad idea, sorry.
