Title: Signs ~ Invalid
Post by: SherlockH on April 24, 2017, 12:20:54 AM
so basically im suggesting a mod that allows us to copy and paste words / edit signs
here is a sample that worked for 1.5.2: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1285262-1-5-2-sign-advanced-gui-1-2-7-copy-paste-text

this mod allows:
-Know how many characters you have left per line.
-Easily select and modify your text, no need to delete all the line to correct your mistake.
-Move between lines using TAB, ENTER or Up and Down arrow keys, or your Mouse.
-Copy/Paste text or the whole sign
-Edit already placed signs

before i continue to search for one that works for 1.10, I just want to know would such a mod be accepted?

Seems unnecessary in my opinion.

Sign editing can be a neat feature
Another thing is that it is useful when im making a lot of signs in a short time (when using trade signs to protect an entire building from grief in the nether....)

When you now want to adjust the price a sell sign with like 100 stacks of the items in it. You need to take out the 100 stacks. With the edit it's alot faster an easier.

I fear others can edit the sign then, or the sign becomes invalid.

thats why im not sure how it would interact with shop signs
but considering that it is a client side mod, i dont think we can edit signs that we originally do not have permission to remove,
just I wonder what would happen if I edit, say the amount of stuff in a shop sign, will that update my inventory too?

Also, outdated.
