Title: Custom Selection Box Port ~ Approved
Post by: amnotbananaama on November 07, 2019, 06:11:23 PM
Name of the mod: Custom Selection Box Port

Url about it: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/custom-selection-box-port

Why do you think it should be allowed: Custom Selection Box Port is a purely visual mod that allows the user to change the appearance of the block selection box (the thin black outline that appears when a player is looking at a block).

This mod would provide no unfair advantage, because it is only changing the appearance of the selection box, something that is already in-game. This mod would help users with large or poor quality display monitors where it's hard to see the current selection box. It also allows for more customization of Minecraft's appearance, to suit individual preference.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this!

Would this allow players to see chests behind walls?

No, it is only changing the appearance of the selection box, which is the current block the player is looking at. If the chest is hidden behind a block, the box will be on the block and not the chest.

Here is a link to a short video of me playing around with the settings in singleplayer, as well as some screenshots showing how it handles hidden chests.
