Chicken Football: Season 2

Hello everyone, and welcome to the second season of Chicken Football! It has been more than a year since the start of last season, but Chicken Football has finally returned with yet another grand tournament: featuring more and bigger prizes, a new stadium, (also new host??) and hopefully, more players!



What is Chicken Football?

Chicken Football is a 1v1 SM/Donator+ event that is played on a field in Flatgrass. You and your opponent will receive a knockback II sword which you will use to hit an immobile, immortal chicken to each other's goals. Every match will have a duration of 10 minutes. The winner is determined by the number of goals after each match.

Tournament Format:

- For this tournament, there will be a round-robin group stage. You will play against each person in your group once, and top players from each group will advance to the knockout rounds. A win in the group stage grants 3 points, a draw will grant both teams 1 point each and 0 points to losers.

- Knockout stage will involve 1v1 games. Winner advances to the next round, loser gets knocked out of the tournament. All the way until the finals and we get a winner.

- I will be posting groups and knockout brackets between when sign up closes and the games begin. So, keep in touch!

Registrations are now closed! Because there are only 16 signups, there will be no group stage and we will get right into single elimination. Games will be played according to the bracket given above. Please note that games are scheduled to start at Saturday, January 8th and any games played before that will be invalid.

You can now play your matches against the opponent assigned to you in the bracket above, in any of the four approved stadiums. To allow for more potential practice matches, you have until Tuesday, January 18th to play your game. Please post the result of the match here, including the name of the referee. If no result is posted and neither player forfeits the match, a winner will be chosen at random.
