Everything Else / Re: Public library in the Snowdin Guild
« on: July 08, 2017, 05:11:03 PM »
The building is now for the most part finished. Just a few details here and there. If anyone decided to help me out with your own original books, please don't hesitate to give them to me. I'll be working on the library, should only take a while to finish. If anyone should ever want to visit or join the guild, just come over to the guild, or talk to me personally! But for the most part, i'm just hoping that i could get lots of cooperation from players around the forums and server, so i ca make this a truly good public library! ;D

Allright! Major progress made this time! First floor, almost complete. As you can see, there's even a bar and a stage, so feel free to come enjoy yourselves if you ever want to!

Allright! Outside and most of the first floor are finished! Special thanks to superservo27, DS9NinaRoo, and Resorted, whom all made the first floor possible!

I appreciate the thought, but it's fine. As long as we can get books written by players, we can take care of the rest. This is the progress made so far:

;D To be completely honest, that's fine. That isn't gonna stop me from playing, nor will it demotivate me from completing my big project in the server. It's not like i play in any other servers anyways  xD. But thanks nonetheless!

Currently, Jerardus and i are making a guild hall. Inside the guild, in the 2nd floor, we plan on making a library. A big one. However, a library is nothing without books. And no matter how pretty bookshelves may look, you can't really take one and read it. We want a library where players can go in, and read books written by other people, one that truly works.
So to whoever reads this post i'd like to ask of your cooperation! Write a book, doesn't matter what it has in it. Stories, jokes, lists, guides, puns, dramas, rip-offs, real life happenings and situations, news, opinions on anything, whatever it is you want. Everyone has their likes and dislikes when it comes to a cup of tea. We'll be taking a while building the place completely, so there's absolutely no rush to do so. If you do decide to write one, and you manage to finish it, just contact me, Mikade, when i'm online. I'll gladly take the books and store them in a safe place.
Once the library is finished, it will be open to the public, so that people can come in and read whatever book they want. Of course, the ones displayed will be copies, so that the originals may be preserved and copied once more should the ones in the public somehow disappear. I, personally will be monitoring which books are there, and which ones aren't in order to make copies so that they are available once more.
So, if you liked reading this topic, and decide to cooperate, please share this topic with other players you know, so that the people that help in this project increase in number. If anyone would like to contact me directly, you can mail me at christopherl12@hotmail.com, or you can find me in discord by Mikade#0581. And to end this message i just ask that you think of all the possibilities of people getting along, becoming authors and readers alike in a community that is normally ignored in society, but kept dear to those who know they belong.

What is your in-game name?
Mikade
- Current Rank?
Donator
- Where are you from?
I was born in PR, but i currently live in RI, USA
- What is your age?
Currently 18
- How often do you vote?
Honestly, whenever i don't forget to do it.
- When did you join the server?
- What time of the day are you on? (include timezone)
Usually around 11 am to sometimes 5 pm, other times until around 9 pm. My time zone is EST.
- Are you currently staff on any other servers?
I was a mod in a different server a long time ago, but it closed down just as far back.
- Why do you think should you be promoted and how will you be helpful?
I think that like i was in the past, i could be a help to as many people i can. I'm often a peacemaker, and if anyone needs help with anything, even if it's just removing dirt, i'd gladly do it.
- Do you feel like you can be neutral and be loyal to the server rules above all else?
Absolutely. A world without rules would just be chaos.
- Additional Information:
I'm often a jack of all trades, although i specialize in the merchant business and marksmanship. However, sometimes my soft-heartedness can get in the way of making deals in which i take a bigger benefit than the client. Otherwise, taking this last question as a side note, as long as i'm not hunting or cooking, i'm often writing story books, or any book in general.
