We are reviving the topic of Skyblock Challenges due to the comments made by some of the active skyblock players in our community. We have been made aware that some of our challenges, specifically near the higher up tiers, are extremely difficult. Now, while we want Skyblock to be a challenge, it appears some of these challenges are near impossible to complete due to the lack of availability of certain items. This post is to get an idea from those of you who play skyblock or are interested in playing skyblock to see what changes you may suggest! We are open to any and all suggestions but keep in mind that they might not all be implemented. Our goal is to maintain some sort of challenge while making the challenges doable. Below is an image another member sent suggesting changes previously. Feel free to add on to their suggestions or make up your own!

To begin with, ALL new players joining the server and all EXISTING members (that have not logged in since these changes have been made) will be shown the rules in a new way. Instead of the old way that we are all used to, players will enter the world as a [Starter] rank with limited perms in a room with signs that briefly explain the server's General Rules. From there, players will click a sign to accept the rules and will be promoted to the [Member] rank, and then they will be able to go out and play as normal. Players who do not accept the rules will be automatically teleported back to spawn every 5 minutes. We hope that, with this change, we attract more players to the server than the previous setup and, at the same time, make sure they accept the rules in some way.


This brings us to our next point: We have added GUI's for the /warplist and /minigames commands. Clicking the icons on the GUI will warp you to another location on the map depending on which icon you choose. The icons will also list the quick commands in case you would rather type the command instead of using the GUI.  The Horizon world warps have been reconstructed and all world warps will now contain holograms explaining the rules specific to that world. Showing players only the rules that apply to them based on which world they teleport to will help minimize the amount of rules shown upon joining.


And for our last and final point: As some of you may have noticed, our map has been explored inside and out for a while. We have decided to give you more room to roam and explore or build by expanding the world border once again. This time it has been expanded by another 10k blocks. We also remind you that Horizon Nether, Horizon End, and Alpha have been reset earlier this month, with Alpha having its border reduced slightly to save server memory for other features!

- What is your mainly specialization that stands out and can be helpful? I am a reliable source of information for both new and old members. I give the best answer i can and i even take the extra step and show people how to do things if necessary. Beyond that i take my role as moderator very seriously and will carry on that attitude if i were to be promoted to admin. I am fair and straight to the point. Any Information given to me tends to stick very well and i strongly feel that i will pick up on Admin duties very quickly.

- Is there any Staff member that suggested you to apply to admin? Nope

- What experience do you have being a Moderator/Admin? I have been moderator/admin/owner in the past. I was got my start as a moderator on a server a few years back and eventually made my way up the ladder to an admin position. I remained admin until that server closed down. After that i joined another server with the same group of people (different owner) and my staff position was reinstated. I once again remained staff there until that server too, shut down. I then opened my own server and went public for a short time. I handled everything from the server website, to adding/removing/editing plugins. I managed my very own staff team and ended up even getting a few regulars to frequent my server. I eventually shut that down as well. That was the last experience I had as staff prior to joining the sentinel family.

- If you have had previous experience, what servers did you Moderate? McVoid, FoxDen, and Toxicity (all of which like previously stated have since shut down)

Brief Description of what it does and adds:This plugin allows you to add custom quests into your server. All quests created are customizable.
There is also alot of support for this plugin for other plugins to run alongside such as mcMMO,Citizens 2,Mythic Mobs, & Heroes just to name a few

Ive always been a fan of the "Clear Lag" plugin. basically if you dont already know it is completely configurable like most plugins and it is a great addition to any server. In the config file you can edit the time but basically you can have it clear all dropped entities on the ground every (insert your desired time here). it clears alot of ground clutter in between server restarts and it cuts down on lag in high traffic areas.
