Idea for a new minigame: Elytra dogfights. In short, players are equipped with, of course, an elytra, some armor, a bow, and crossbow, with a limited amount of arrows and rockets, in a wide arena with plenty of obstacles but no real landing areas where one can safely stop without taking damage (like slamming into a wall to land on a small platform). Bow has infinity, but obviously crossbow does not, which should balance themselves; infinite bow allows infinite arrow shots, however rockets can't be used with the bow drawn, while the crossbow can be loaded, and swapped to instantly while using a rocket, however it works down your arrow count. Victory could be decided either by damage taken, arrow count, or a combination thereof; say, if a player dies, then obviously they lose, but if all players live and one player runs out of arrows, that player loses.
