Towny Economy Reform (Again)
No need to get out the pitchforks yet folks -
It's come to our attention that the changes we implemented last fall, though well intentioned, has negatively impacted all towns across the board. For that reason, we've decided to make a few adjustments to alleviate some stress of town ownership.
Changes1). Towny overclaim upkeep is reduced by 60% - We do plan on keeping overclaim upkeep because it helps promote steady growth, rather than a town having a sudden burst in players, claiming a bunch of land, and getting to keep it without consequence.
2). Minimum a town has to tax a player to 0 - This was meant introduce taxes to people and not letting the burden be left on town leaders. It was also to promote giving players more options between towns to choose from, which we feel has been accomplished.
3). Outposts reduced to 15k
4). Plot upkeep in a town will be taking a 40% reduction, going from $5 per chunk to $3 - This is still higher than the initial cost of $2 per chunk, which we feel is fair.
Multipliers (Towns with higher residents pay a higher cost per chunk) will be staying the same. We feel at this time no towns are really affected greatly by the multiplier and needs no action at this time.
