DiscordSRV is a server plugin that is used to transfer messages between the MC server and the Discord server using a Discord bot.

I am not reccomending it for chatting between Discord and MC but to help staff.

It has the ability to broadcast the chat and console to a Discord channel.
How this can be used:
-Set up the console channel
-Make it so noone can type in it
-Staff can see messages to be sure who is breaking the rules.
-If you don't want some staff to see console, you can create a seperate channel only for normal chat.
-Make a seperate channel for the Discord bot commands
*The plugin allows for making dofferent commands executable from the Discord server, and you can configure the role permissions for it.
-Set up bot commands
-Instead of staff having to get on or if they aren't close to a PC, they can go on Discord and sort it out. There are more uses and shortcuts with the plugin but you should probably decide that

Hello Everyone. I see that that the chat of game is not linked with any other chat except the console that only Admins can use, I wonder if we can send messages from discord to ingame using a plugin named Discord SRV.

What is discord SRV?

it is basically a plugin that we can use to link the ingame chat with discord channel easily and it is completely customizable and easy to use.

Intended Usage

Using this plugin, you are able to give players the ability to chat in-game to chat with players on your Discord server as well as having people on the Discord server be able to chat with people on the server- this is useful for the situation of someone not being at their computer and being able to talk in-game.

As well as that, this plugin also has a remote console feature. You can designate a text channel for the plugin to listen on where messages sent to that channel are run as commands by the server console. You should restrict sending this channel to a developer or high ranking role only. Due to how Discord's permissions work, though, you can have some server roles being able to see the console, yet not being able to send messages in that channel, thus creating a read-only console for trusted staff members.

Both the chat and console link are toggleable through the configuration file. Some, but not all, options can be refreshed with /discord reload, by an op. VanishNoPacket permissions like silent join/quit, fake join/quit and join without announcing are checked when sending player join messages in the chat channel.

I remember this plugin being brought up multiple times by players, but it was denied to due us wanting people to play on the server rather than just chatting from discord.
Having this plugin would also increase the amount of spam in server chat, like it's not already chaotic enough during peak hours.  o_o

This would demotivate people from joining the server and chat via discord.
