SML #5 - JayDee98, IrParadox, and HvPanda

SentinelCraft Memory Lane #5

This week, I will be talking about three players who were founders of very well known towns and/or nations in SentinelCraft: JayDee98, IrParadox, and HvPanda!

JayDee98

Joined in 2013, currently holding the Donator rank

JayDee98, originally named IamSwifteh, joined SentinelCraft in August 2013 and is well-known for his building skills. On that same day, he created Mirlaz, which ended up becoming one of the major towns in the first couple years.

However, he got bored of the Mirlaz project very quickly and decided to make another town. However, it never had the same success.

JayDee98 didn't have a constant activity. During everytime he was online, he always had the intent of creating a great town, but his attempts were unfruitful and those towns ended up dying without even a good remark under their name.

There was one time he ended up being active for a longer time, when he achieved the Moderator rank. However, his inactivity afterwards made him lose the rank.

He has been inactive since 2019, when he was the mayor of his last town, Jayven.

IrParadox

Joined in 2013, currently holding the Member rank

IrParadox, or just Paradox, joined our server in late 2013. He was responsible for the creation of Triune, one of the best organized nations in SentinelCraft, and Paradoxia, the capital town of said nation.

The nation was composed of various towns in different biomes. There was one in a desert, another in the taiga, one near a jungle, etc. All of them were represented on the capital with a monument made by him. Some of these towns were managed by benjorfol, ChampionRed007, polsonator2, MacLeezy, Xander27926, amongst others. Notable current community members started playing on Paradoxia, such as AceAlmighty16, Creepy_Crawlers, and CoolioBruhh.

He ended up being a big influence on the server and reached the Moderator rank in 2014. However, he ended up getting demoted one or two months after and has never joined the server since that moment.

One of the players I mentioned above, Creepy_Crawlers, gave us this message:

"I knew Paradox when he first joined the server. Ace was a good friend of his and so I ended up getting to know him quite well. Paradox was the one that actually taught me how to create my own server and went over all the plugins, config files, and all that backend stuff and explained it all to me. Paradox ended up leaving Sentinel and I tagged along with him but he ended up shutting down the server he had made. He was a mix of funny and very serious. I do not know where Paradox is now-a-days but I know he was a tattoo artist so I wonder if he still does that to this day."

HvPanda

Joined in 2014, currently holding the Admin rank

HvPanda, also known as Panda, joined us in November 2014. Legend says his first words were /t spawn market.

That's because he is the founder of the Market town, that claims to be the "center of SentinelCraft's economy". This town holds the record for having the most players on the same town at the same time (around 100). This ended up forcing staff to create the 30 day inactivity rule for towny.

Panda loves to simplify things for others. He has written some plugin guides on forums. When Towny was not part of the server, he had the initiative of creating the HvMobFarm public farm which is the most known Mob Farm on the server (and the prettiest). When towny came back, he recreated the market town once again under the same idea.

On a quick side note, he is also one of the most active players in Skyblock, where he created a shop for others to use.

Panda ended up being a finalist of the SentinelCraft Awards and, after some years, he reached the Admin rank, which he still currently holds. Everyone trusts Panda due to its general knowledge on mob farming and overall gameplay (helps a lot on bug testing).

He also loves pandas, so don't murder one in front of him.

I asked two opinions on Panda. Annu_Mannu67 said:

"I believe a peaceful HvPanda... is considered scary and is originally from Netherlands?!. But all He love is peace and sweet bamboo cookies!"

Joelle454, which is an assistant at Market, told us:

"Panda is a very friendly one who sometimes seems to be strict, but is actually a pretty nice and sweet person when you get to know him. With a very good sense of humor, that never fails to make one smile."

Oh man I miss Paradox and ChampionRed and Enrique. Triune was a home to me and they were my first family on the server.
