Player was told a few times what grief entailed.  I let cases inside the town go unreported and talked with him about it.  He then on 1-5-2014 @ 15:58hrs removed 85 blocks of wall, Elle came to confirm the location and blocks destroyed.

This was a wall that was outside the Town, built as a holding/retaining wall during terrain leveling and not something inside the town.

I will speak with him again once he/she returns and let them know the rules on griefing one last time before removal from the town.  But I will be seeking his punishment for griefing.   Hopefully jail/ban will wake him up to the rules.

A Ban isnt going to wake someone up to the rules. XD

Jail is fine. Someone who is online will dole out the jail time.

Thank you for your report.

That's a lie... a ban can wake some people up...

.

They learn better with a jail than with a ban. With jail, we can explain that it's wrong and ect. but with a ban, they are instantly kicked out from the server without knowing the detailed motive.

I think for players that have been here while, such as Newb, would learn better from bans. Players in their first month, maybe two, would learn better from jails because if they were ban it's just "oh well, I didn't get that far anyway." For long term players they probably stuck with the server because they like it (why else would they?) so a ban works better.
