a.k.a derp), moderator of SentinelCraft!!
Brief description of Serpin by a friend of him:
When I think about Serpin I think about the joke that goes around about the dictionary. He is someone who loves to help players out... for example with building mob spawners. Derp can be really stupid at times but that's what makes him special!Dani: Welcome Serpin to "KYS!". The world wants to know more about you.Serpin: I want to know more about the world as well.
Dani: First question, why have you joined the server?Serpin: The first server I played on shut down, so I was in search of a new server to call home. I tried a few but to no avail then I stumbled upon Sentinel and here I am.
Dani: Why did you decided to stay on SentinelCraft?Serpin: I personaly don't like servers that reset every few months or year. I stayed on sentinel for this reason. When the server reset I was sad but I decided to stay because there was no other option, and secondly the community and friends I made.
Dani: How would you describe your experience at sentinel so far?Serpin: In the begining it was rough because of some mistakes I made, but I have learned since then and it has been great.
Dani: Why did you become a moderator?Serpin: Like the server I was apart of before sentinel, If I become attached I want to take care of that server and the community in it, it is the same for Sentinel and the rest is history.
Dani: Who from the server do you think that knows you better?Serpin: Eli, Brenda, Hvpanda, Tox, Fox. It is hard to say I think they all know me about equally. I have shared some personal information things with my childhood etc. They are the people I talk to the most.
Dani: What is the best and worst part of being a mod for you?Serpin: The best part Is knowing i'm helping the community. The worst part is dealing with toxic people.
Dani: Do you have any hobby?Serpin: I have a few, Blacksmithing, Photoshop, Pottery, Gaming and Magic the gathering.
Dani: Blacksmithing, that's impressive.Serpin: I'm not that good. I just dabble. I do odd jobs to save money, i'm trying to become a wastewater treatment operator.
Dani: Why do you want to be a wastewater treatment operator?Serpin: With the economy the way it is, it just seems like a smart idea to do a skill based job since watertreatment operators are needed and can be paid very well. That and my father is one.
Dani: You say that also do some pottery, could you explain that?Serpin: In high school there was not much to do for electives they took out the metal shop etc, I had a cool pottery teacher/wood working teach (same person) so I took pottery and wood shop for all 4 years of high school. I also took an art class.
Dani: Wow, so do you consider yourself a creative person?Serpin: I think so but my painting/sketching skills are not as good as I wish they where im much better with pottery.
Dani: Since when are you a gamer?Serpin: Since my first computer. My first operating system was windows xp home and I played Diablo II, and Starcraft/starcraft broodwar. I think I was around 12 my first computer is actualy used as my monitor stand as we speak lol.
Dani: Oh, so are you a Diablo fan?Serpin: Yes and because of this I like games like Path of exile, Torchlight and even older games for the ps2 like Baldur's gate. Basicaly any Dungeon Crawler.
Dani: Are you part of a community from these Dungeon Crawler games?Serpin: I am its a bigger community for trades etc I have been a member since 2009 it was originaly used for game hacks/exploits but later changed to a community/ingame item trading website when I joined. But yeah, that website has been up since 2003-2004 its one of the biggest ingame item trading websites
Dani: If you likes Dungeon Crawlers, how did you meet minecraft?Serpin: I saw it on youtube. I was interested but never bothered to buy it and i thought i would give it a try and download a cracked client. if i liked it i would pay for it later and i did.
Dani: Talking about Sentinelcraft. Do you have any Project on it? Maybe a town?Serpin: My current project that is mostly finished is Guild home farm it is a public mob farm mostly for new players to use but anyone can some things will be added but are a secret for now and im also making something in flat that is also a secret and as a hint i need permission from heimburger to implement it.
Dani: Who from the staff do you think is the smelliest?Serpin: Jokes aside there all good people and i enjoy there company, but for comedys sake Tox is by far the smelliest :3
Dani: Haha, and the last question. Any last message for the server?Serpin: I hope the server is still around in the future as long as it is I will be here.
