SentinelCraft Boat Race!

Welcome to the SentinelCraft Boat Race!

My original topic did not get too much attention, but I would like to start the boat race anyway (don't judge meh).  For the next two weeks or so I will be hosting a boating competition at a river near my base.  I had built a fishing dock there, but decided the river was actually a great spot to do some boat racing.

Rules and Information:
- To compete, just ask me when I'm online to race in a the race.  I will time you.  I have to be there for your score to be valid.
- If you hit an obstacle, you may start over only once.  After that, hitting an obstacle/wall/squid will result in a place marker.
- The person with the fastest time - or in the case of nobody getting a time, the furthest place marker - wins.
- You must go from the starting line to the finish line in your boat.  Exiting your boat will result in elimination.
- I will kill all mobs surrounding the area beforehand.  The only mob that should get in your way is the evil squid, which may spawn during the boat race.  You will race in daylight to ensure no mobs get in the river.
- If you would like to spectate, please to not distract/interrupt the race.  This means no fishing or shooting arrows.  (Don't even fish in the river, as bobbers can break boats.)
- If you think something is unfair about your race or time, please let me know.  I will be open to any (reasonable) complaints.
- Note that I will be online mostly on the weekends.
- No /fly while you are racing.  Please disable /fly or anything else that may make you faster.
- This goes along with potions; please drink milk or wait for the effects to turn off before asking to race.
- You may race again twenty-four hours after your last race for a better score.

Prizes:
First Place Winner: Five Wither Stars, thirty-two gold blocks, and $7,500.
Second Place Winner: Sixteen gold blocks and $2,500
Third Place Winner: Bragging rights.
(If there aren't many contestants there may only be a first place winner)

Additional Information:
- If the boating race goes well, I may start another one.  The next one - if I feel enough people would participate - may have different rules. 
- There is no entry fee.
- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD CONNECTION.  Boats on servers may not go well with bad connections!  Invisible walls and the boat tending to be further than it is on your screen are very common nuisances.  Make sure this won't happen!
- The times are all in my timezone so don't think I messed it up. 
- If you didn't finish you will get 00:00 and a place marker will be set at the course.
