First Time PC build

Hey guys! Sorry for my recent inactivity as I'm busy with life right now, but I wanted to hop onto the forums and ask a few questions on PC building. (First Time builder)  So I went to pcpartpicker.com to see if all of my hardware I had picked out worked, and it did. I am on a sort of budget, 300 or less, and I will be doing gaming like simcity and Minecraft. With that being said here's the link to the list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/gWBsZ8

My main questions about the list is: Can it run the games that I listed? Is there anything that is unessecary in the list that I can remove to make even more budget friendly? Or do I need to add anything?

Buy the DVD and WiFi modem off a local store, it's cheaper that way. Don't EVER trust PSUs that come with cases, this particular one was really shady. The PC I gave you has both a better PSU and a faar superior integrated GPU. I will explain more in a few hours as I have to take a long trip and have no internet access t the moment.

Thank You for the suggestions! But I did take your suggestion about the wifi and DVD drive to go to my local store! There, I fixed it. Your HDD is overpriced and a weird brand, I got you a mainstream one with double the capacity for half the price.
 I do not recommend the GT 610 at all. I know that your budget is pretty tight as I've been there myself, but get at least a GT 730 or R7 250. Even the integrated GPU of your processor will most likely be faster than it. If going the discrete GPU way, choose a more powerful processor with no iGPU for the same price.

Stock coolers work fine too, unless you are doing overclocking (which i highly doubt) i would throw out the CPU cooler and get an R7 250 instead but thats your choice.

What flight said, and for the low-end CPUs AMD usually gives wattage overhead so that you can overclock decently even on the stock cooler.

Check out the updated build in my latest post, it's ~280$ and features both a more powerful CPU and a much better GPU, albeit integrated . I can't emphasise on this enough - do not go for the GT 610/710/720 cards. You will be massively disappointed by their performance. At your budget, an APU, or otherwise said a CPU with a GPU die on it, is the best route.

 Also, if you're going to go with an integrated GPU, definitely get 2x4 GB of RAM instead of 1x8 GB. With two sticks, it becomes dual-channel and generally a lot faster, 64 bit bus instead of 32 bit. It might be 10$ more but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it, you will get as much as 20-30 FPS more in some games.

P.S. actually, on your latest list, the integrated GPU in the processor is more powerful than the discrete GPU. That should give you an idea of what the GT 610/710 actually is.
