Public Viewing Of Nos_Astra
« on: May 09, 2014, 08:47:09 AM »
Hello i have been on this server for awhile now, and as most of you know i own the town Nos_Astra, until now only a few of you have had the Honor to actually view parts of the town since its Founding back in September 2013.

As you know this is mostly a private build and we are not accepting new town members at this current time, However a few have expressed interest in wanting to see the project and how it has progressed.

I figured a poll would be a good way of getting feed back and see just how many actually wanna see the project. so ill run this vote for 7 days, and at the end ill either be setting up a public viewing day , or going back to mining XD

I voted no. My character has head faced in the wrong direction, and I need to live up to that, so I say no. :D

so heres the rough draft.

I will be (very soon ) opening my gates to allow ppl to come and look around.

Guide lines.
I recommend using the john smith texture pack, as thats what i have used for the entire project from start. its not required, just recommended.

Any area blocked off by hay bales are off limits. so stay out.

Do not try to break blocks, if you cant get in there through a door or door way, you shouldent be in there.

Dont steal anything, dont wreck anything etc. use commen sense. dont kill my horses lol

You are all rather smart, i expect you to use commen sense and by that i mean, before you do something, think, "would i appreciate someone doing this to my build?"

Other then that feel free to browse the city.

I will post on here When i officially open the gates to allow ppl in, it will likly be open for a couple days. to allow everyone time to come and snoop lol. there are lots of things to look at. and lots of little things that could go un noticed.

Feel free to comment here on anything you wish, and keep in mind the entire city is a work in progress and subject to changes at any time, so you will likely see things that are un finished / going through a change. although im gonna try to wrap everything up for the showing.

Iv been busy with work, the summer has brought more hours so i may not be online for a personal showing the entire time its open.

You can download the john smith texturepack free here
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1544827-32x-john-smith-legacy-147151617-jstr-mod-support-ftb-tekkit-etccommunity-project/

Its the non hd version, thus "Legacy" so mc patcher should not be needed.

feel free to post any other questions or comments here.

Its official. Nos_Astra is now open for public viewing.

Rules.
if you cant get in there, stay out. If its blocked by glass and or hay bales, leave it alone. Dont grief, dont steal. Dont break ANY Blocks, dont place ANY Blocks.

Recommended Texturepack.
John Smith Legacy, Its what i use, You can get it

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1544827-32x-john-smith-legacy-147151617-jstr-mod-support-ftb-tekkit-etccommunity-project/

Its open till i close it, ill post here when the viewing is over, itll proably stay open for a day or two.

Get here by using /t spawn Nos_Astra <- dont forget the underscore XD

if you have reis installed or bring a map youll have an easier time getting around.

Other then whats stated here, feel free to snoop around and look at things.

If this turnes out well and there are no issues i will do another viewing at a later date when more has been added.

Feel free to leave comments here.

Thank you and have fun :D

Hear my howl, feel my steel,
My objection is clear, My objective - near,
To take your crown, to burn your place,
There's no room for you in my palace

It looked amazing. Nos Astra is very well organized, the buildings were aesthetically pleasing as well as useful. TimeKeeper used Acacia and Dark Oak planks together for much of the town, and it simply awed me on how well he used them. He uses a different texture pack than default, but I thought it looked nice in default as well. Acacia is one of my least favorite blocks, but TimeKeeper did a great job using it.  If he decides to do another viewing in the future, I would recommend for anyone to come and visit to see what the city has.

I already had a sneak peak of the town earlier its beautiful and one thing that I really loved was that its laid out so nicely. it looks like a perfect little empire. I would love some more company in the empty roads of Nos Astra . May the gates always remain open and never close  again.
