Okay, So here is a brief summary of what happened.
We were taken down because the node that our server is hosted had some kind of "instability". Because it had happened not that long ago I had them move us to a new node. Well the new node worked fine (better ping and all that). Problem was there was a connection issue with the database we use to store much of the extraneous data. So with that I told them to go ahead and transfer the data. I was told it "shouldnt take long"
Part way through the data transfer though something didnt go correctly. The data is safe, we have backups, so rest assured nothing is lost. But that means there is going to be a prolonged outtage. It is unknown exactly how long that is. Could be a few hours. Could be more. (I sincerely doubt that itll be more than 8 hours from when I post this.)
Here is the transcript of what they sent me:
I have to apologize do you guys, but I am having issues importing your database because of the setup on the node you are on. I already move the database to be local, so I can't go back, and I have to wait for Andrew as he is our CTO to sort this out.
He will sort this our as soon as he is awake. Please DO NOT start your server in the mean time.
Stick around, Im sure (as always) the forums will be abuzz with excitement. And I will post here if I find anything out.
