keeping the temp world

fed why don't we keep the temp world as an alternate world we can go to and live and survive in?
I honestly prefer the idea of having everyone start off on equal footing.
for the first time I got to kill some of the oldest players on the server by going on the temp world.
I know this probably wont pass but it is a good idea and that what counts..:P

I think it'd be nice with hardcore and monthly (or some frequent) reset as a different alternative to towny.

I don't understand this. But as long as the main server world isn't lost or forgotten, I'm cool. Though this temp server is barren and mostly water, with the main server back up, I doubt I'd go back to visit. I really like the already developedness of /spawn../suicide is not the same. :P

Now, treating this temp server as a Resource world would be a little different. But without the main server up, I find myself logging out a lot more these past couple days. But no complaints, thank you Fedgar, for even putting it together for us. I know it's something you didn't have to do, and personally I just expected downtime completely, no play whatsoever with the community, so it's really nice of you to set the temp up. :)

Its a conversation we have had before. It is... alot of work for us to make a new world.

If we were going to do something like this it would be SM+
Completely isolated (similar to flatgrass)
Hardcore (IE You can play, but if you die you dont get to come back for 1 week/month)
Small with regular resets (most likely)
And would have very rigid rules. (NO WHINING)

Mcmmo is a problem... We cant have a per-world isolation for McMMo that I know of.
So it would either be everyone has Mcmmo... or no one does.

Then there would be the considerations on whether there were rewards/commands/special considerations.
IE: Do Donators get their perks there?

And more...

This is just me spending two minutes brainstorming. There are probably 30 things I didnt think of. ID have to see like a major majority of SM/Don+ be interested in having this as an option.

sounds like a new poll is coming.

I dont want to lose the Main world. but this temp world has been fun.

Keeping it as a special for sm+ could be neat. However id rather have dnymap fixed :p

Just what I think... The world should really make people start from 0. Some may use this as an McMMo training centre, lol. Donors will be in a huge advantage too, so all in all I suggest a world with no McMMo and no donor perks. ~Just a suggestion

Spooky, Fed was saying if you make it to where theres no mcmmo in this world, then there wouldn't be any in the server at all. Meaning, Every world gets mcmmo, or no world does.

,abey we shouldn't live there just u know ponder over it like u can't build,destroy or any thing just be like a spirit (every1 would have fly on this world) and just could look around......... but talk lol

ACtually felled, I can make just that world have no mcMMO... What I was saying is we cannot have one world with one set of stats, and another world with a different set. Its all or none.

Oh really? I took that the wrong way then, If we do keep this temp world I would say to no on the mcmmo then, as I feel it adds such an unfair pvp bonus to players that have been playing longer

That will regardless happen as new players join throughout time.
