I'm turning 13 soon, and I've got a question...

Heyo, Kamikoize here. Here in a few months I'm gonna be turning 13, but even though it's a while away I'm still thinking about how I should feel about it. I've already asked around on the server & IRL, a couple of my friends IRL told me that I should be excited to be turning 13, and in-game 7thMuse & Ninja told me I should be disgusted.
So. The question hasn't been answered for me quite yet, should I be excited or disgusted to be turning 13 in a few months?

Nobody can truly answer your question, it's about how you should feel, not the others. If you feel nothing, then you just feel nothing - it's not necessary to try to feel else.

From my personal experience, I'll say honestly nothing changed besides the fact that I said I was a teenager when people asked me. I had a party with some friends, and life moved on. Not really excited or disgusted. Part of this may have been that, when you look at me, I didn't at the time look like 13, looked more like 10 or 11, although now mah mouche has built a bit, so I look like I'm 14.

When I turned thirteen it felt as if nothing had happened. To me, it was no big deal considering we did nothing to celebrate it but eat cake. Like Varun said, life just goes on.

For me, 13 was a turning a point. I had spent the last year and a half studying for my Bat Mitzvah, then right after I felt very relieved. Middle school to early high school is great, you get responsibilities but without too much stress. Don't go ahead and do stupid stuff though, give yourself a head start by working hard for high school (but not too hard, have fun!) A lot of people in my class didn't try because they thought it wouldn't matter, it will though. Not trying to freak you out, just sayin: have fun but don't not care at the same time.

you should be excited, there's a lot of potential for fun as well as trouble.  Bad things happen at every stage of life, so dont be "disgusted" by them.  Just make sure you pass all your classes, start thinking about subjects you like, and dont care about what anyone around says about you. thats my two cents at least

Ah...to be 13 again.  Live it up for the next few years...be happy, excited and chearful...cause its all down hill from here.

My point is that a birthday isn't really very important. I'd pay more attention to actual milestones, such as becoming more moody suddenly, or things of that nature. Sorry for my dark sense of humor; I used to play on a server where the culture was very different. I've yet to adjust fully to SC.

While we're on the topic, I'm 16. I'm quite aware of the "tention"[sic] of being a teenager.

When I hit thirteen or really any year after that (except 16) I wasn't excited at all. I didn't really matter to me. For me I look for the milestones instead
