Why do you think it should be allowed:I think it should be allowed becouse it makes your fps better and some people really need it,Especially me with my normal 12 fps.
Of course this wont fix all your fps problem but it would make it better by a ton.

It does look similar, but this one is officially compatible with 1.8.8 and 1.8.9 while the old one doesn't seem to be updated anymore
