You should just update Towny yourselves? Which you should have done instead of waiting.  If you don't know how to do that, I know a guy.

Edit: But if you just want to get rid of Towny altogether, I guess that's alright too. 
If you do keep towny, I propose adding some extra restrictions for making new ones.  In order to prevent 200 single-player towns from being created.

Resetting is a great thing tho. Fresh start, alot of additions have been made.  There were a few that were against the reset but overall it was fair. We did a vote and a majority of the community that voted wanted it
