- Why should you be unbanned? I think that I should be unbanned because I was playing casino and I said "Gay" and I was banned. I honestly thought that I should have been Muted. My sister plays on that server and I want to play with her. She is at college now and this is the only way we can play together. I just would like to say I'm sorry and I would rather be muted the whole time then be banned.

Saying "Gay" in that context is basically saying that "gay" is the equivalent of "bad" which is intolerable. It would be no different if you supplanted a racial epithet or slur.

The nature of the server being worldwide, with broad cultural and age discrepancies means that we have to do what we can to be respectful. That is why things that discriminate like what you said have a zero tolerance policy.

Remember, just because its "no big deal" to you, doesnt mean it doesnt upset someone else. We have men and women with ages ranging from 6 to 60+ and coming from everwhere from Alaska to Dubai. Be mindful of what you say, and the ramifications it might have.

Here is what is posted here. Also It is rules page 3 I believe in game. The same rules that you agreed to when you started the server.

If you look pretty much anywhere across the forums you can see time and again where we have reiterated that bigotry and anything of the sort is not allowed.

I am appalled that I had to copy paste the meaning of bigotry for you to read. Your offence falls under - e. Gender or sexual discrimination. Bigotry is the word we use instead of 'Homophobia' as honestly, there is no such thing as homophobia. You cannot be afraid of homosexuals in the way you are scared of spiders. We sincerely apologise if we used a word that you do not understand. Please, learn some manners and buy a dictionary.

Well, I was actually going to post that you had been accepted back. But unfortunately you shot yourself in the foot here.

Originally you had the votes to be unbanned, but the fact that you seem to be defending your actions by splitting hairs and pulling the semantics card, you lost the votes needed.

Your actions squarely fell under gender and sexual discrimination. Which, if you read the definition Elle so lovingly provided us, you will see falls under the umbrella of being a bigot. I'm sorry if you didn't like the word we used in your ban message, but the idea is the same. Using intolerant language like that is unacceptable here. If you had just owned up to what you had said, apologized and accepted it. You would have been allowed a second chance.

Good luck on your future endeavors. I hope you learn the consequences that come with the words you choose.
